This appointment was scheduled for between 3.15pm and 3.45pm ( during these times, I was available). The person made the call at 2.55pm, whilst I was at work, and left a message to say that , I had missed my telephone appointment, and that they would send a text message with a detailed explanation. The message that I then received, read ” Dear Mr Bond, missed telephone call today Regarding recent x-ray no major concerns Thanks, Catherine Ali Barrowford Surgery. “ Although Catherine chose to make the call early, I was available at the designated time slot, and should have received a second call back. I understand that Catherine has “no major concerns”, this is neither detailed nor helpful to me ! I find the response, very dismissive and this detailed diagnosis could have been delivered on the initial call , which would have saved to telephone appointment, and made this available for another patient. I still however am experiencing leg and knee pains. Which have not gone away. Thanks and best wishes, Neil Bond | You could have phoned me during the designated appointment time.
